The One True Compass was a device, one which could point the way to the lost kingdom of Troy. While Zeus, King of the Gods, was unable to help his son Hercules find Troy (for fear of incurring the wrath of Hera), he was instead able to point Herc towards Queen Omphale, whose late husband had found the compass prior to his death. Herc had then infiltrated Queen Omphale's palace as a slave, but she had seen through his ruse and figured out his identity. Despite making advances on Herc and being rejected, she'd given him the compass anyway, and Herc had proceeded to use the device to lead Princess Deianeira to reclaim Troy from Hera and her Blue Priest. |
